On May 18 local time, Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa inspected the Mwanza Maliya Sports Center project, which is being built by China Railway Construction Engineering Group. He was accompanied by Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, Innocent Bashungwa, and Permanent Secretary Gerson Msigwa, among other officials.
Prime Minister Majaliwa and his delegation visited the construction site to examine the progress of the project, learn about the design layout, key challenges in construction, and the plan for the next phase of work.
Located in the Mwanza region of Tanzania, the Mwanza Maliya Sports Center project includes the construction of new student dormitories, classrooms, indoor sports facilities, a supporting swimming pool, and outdoor infrastructure. Once completed, the project will greatly improve the region’s sports infrastructure, enhance training and competition conditions for local athletes, and support the overall development of Tanzania’s national sports sector.
